How we handle the personal information you give us.
Wedding Expos Australia Pty Ltd collects personal information so we can run our expos, answer you, and send the updates you asked for. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it.
If you have any questions about this page, or want to ask about the personal information we hold, contact us at hello@weddingexposaustralia.com.
Wedding Expos Australia Pty Ltd runs wedding expos across Australia and this website. The legal name, ABN, office, email and phone in the site footer are the contact details for this business.
When you write to us, subscribe to the newsletter, ask a listed vendor for a quote, or book an exhibitor stand, we collect the details you type in — typically your name, email address, and the message or booking facts needed to complete that request. A newsletter signup may also include your state and whether you are planning a wedding or exhibiting. A vendor quote may include a phone number and wedding date so that vendor can reply. Ticket checkout is handled by Humanitix, which collects what it needs to issue the ticket.
The website records technical information such as your browser, device and the pages you open, so we can keep the site working and understand which pages are used. Forms that need a human check may use a captcha. If you sign in, we send a one-time code to the email address you enter.
We use your details to reply to you, send the newsletter you subscribed to, run exhibitor bookings and payments, and operate the website. We do not use your details for a purpose that is unrelated to the reason you gave them, unless you ask us to or the law requires it.
If you send a quote request from a vendor listing, we share that request with that vendor so they can reply. We never sell your details. Exhibitor payments are processed by Stripe. Ticket purchases are processed by Humanitix. We also use email and hosting providers to deliver messages and run the site. Those providers only receive what they need to do that job.
We use analytics and advertising tools, including Google and Meta, to see how the site is used and to measure conversions. Ticket pages may also load Humanitix. Those tools may set cookies or similar technology in your browser. You can block cookies in your browser settings; essential pages will still load.
Photography and videography of the exhibition, including images of exhibitors and guests, may be used on our website, social media or other marketing to promote the events. That is the same practice set out in the exhibitor terms.
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it, or for as long as we must keep records for tax, accounting or legal reasons. Newsletter addresses stay on the list until you unsubscribe.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any of those emails. You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
We will keep this page in step with how the site actually works. If we change it in a material way, the updated wording will appear here.
